Special Olympics Wisconsin is gearing up for the 25th annual State Winter Games next weekend in Wausau. Hundreds of athletes will be competing for gold in alpine skiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing and snow shoeing.
On Saturday, January 25, competitions will be held in Alpine Skiing and Snowboarding at Granite Peak from 11-2 p.m. Snowshoe Racing and Cross-Country Skiing will be held at the Nine Mile Forest from 12 a.m.-4:30p.m.
Then on Sunday, final competitions will be held in Snowshoe Racing and Cross Country skiing from 9 a.m. to noon at Nine Mile Forest.
