Special Olympics Cancels Wausau Weekend Events Due to Cold

Due to the extremely cold temperatures forecasted for Saturday, January 25 and Sunday, January 26, Special Olympics Wisconsin (SOWI) will cancel the State Winter Games snowshoe racing and cross-country skiing competitions at Nine Mile Forest and snowboarding and alpine skiing competitions at Granite Peak.

SOWI will continue to host a dance for Agencies (teams) Saturday evening from 7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. at the Holiday Inn in Wausau.
