UPDATE: 9/29 Sunday 2:55PM

Lt. Goch with the Marathon County Sheriff's Department confirms that there were no injuries in a plane accident near State Highway 29 in Hatley.

It happened around 2 this afternoon at a private air-strip off the highway. Lt. Goch says the pilot escaped injury, however the plane did start fire after the incident. Authorities say the pilot was trying to land when wind caught the plane causing it to crash. The plane was the only thing that was damaged.

No other details have been released as far as a cause for the accident, or what happened before. We'll release more information tonight when the Sheriff's Department releases it.
