Simac Considers Run for State Assembly

Eagle River Republican Kim Simac may enter the political ring again.

Simac said in a statement that she is considering a run for the 34th District Assembly Seat. The seat is being vacated by Republican Rep. Dan Meyer, who has decided not to seek re-election.

The statement says, "she is seriously considering her options and will make a formal announcement in the very near future."

This will not be Simac's first run for office. She lost to Democratic Sen. Jim Holperin in the 12th District recall election last summer.

If Simac decides to run, she will face fellow Republican Alex Young. Young, a Rhinelander City County member, announced his candidacy Tuesday.

Oh Simac, the person who lost the last election and will more than likely lose this one too. She should save her money and pay her taxes. Simac pay your fair share! Wasn't this one of the items to bring her down last time?

The people didn't vote her in last time. They did not believe in her and her ideas. If they stick together they won't vote her in this time. She is not a crediable peron for office.

She can't run a horse business and make money what makes her think she can do that job. We don't need anymore of her horse crap. Simac you lost once wasn't that enough.

It is very hard for a person to believe that the Republicans would also the Tea Baggers to run the Republican Party. If the Tea Bagger's do not stand for what the GOP stands for, time to evict the Tea Party. It will bring the GOP down sooner or later!

If she runs for anything, it should be the state border. Wisconsin doesn't need our own Michele Bachmann.

Mike at Weston: I believe they may have hit a nerve. Maybe even a couple of nerves. You must be part of the Tea Party in order to be so upset. To bad you believe in her and her cause and the Tea Party. Sometimes the truth hurts. Take an asprin. One last question, why doesn't the Tea Party have a party of their own?
