UPDATE: 3-Vehicle Crash Leaves 2 People Seriously Injured

UPDATE: Two people are seriously injured after a three-vehicle crash in Shawano County.

The Shawano County Sheriff's Office said the crash happened at 8:51 p.m., Aug. 5, on Wis. Highway 22 near Freeborn Road in the Town of Washington.

The crash involved a farm tractor and trailer, a passenger car, and a motorcycle, according to the press release. The initial investigation showed the car struck the tractor and trailer, and then the motorcycle crashed into the two vehicles.

The tractor operator and motorcycle were seriously injured.

The motorcycle operator was transported to Shawano Medical Center and transferred by Eagle III helicopter to St. Vincent's Hospital.

The tractor operator was transported by Shawano Ambulance to St. Vincent's Hospital.

Highway 22 was closed for several hours during the investigation of this crash, however it is now back open.

The crash is under investigation.

Lanes in both directions on Wisconsin 22 are now open after being closed for several hours for a serious crash.

According to a Shawano County dispatcher, a vehicle, motorcycle and tractor were involved in a crash Tuesday night.

Emergency crews are still on the scene.
