Sentencing has been delayed for a 43-year-old Antigo man convicted of growing marijuana in his basement.

Lawrence Cahak reached a plea deal with prosecutors Monday. Cahak pleaded guilty to manufacturing THC and possession of drug paraphernalia. As result a charge of maintaining a drug trafficking place was dismissed.

According to the criminal complaint, on Sept. 12, investigators executed a search warrant at Cahak's Antigo home. Officers also found 16 marijuana plants in a small room in the basement. They also discovered timers, fans, heat exchange equipment, reflective Mylar on the walls and a carbon dioxide tank hook to a fan.

Officers seized nine glass pipes, 248 grams of loose marijuana, and 60 grams of marijuana taken from numerous baggies and mason jars from the main level of the home.

Online court records indicate sentencing has been deferred until 2015.
