Dump Truck Chase/Rollover Shuts Down Hwy 29

A 26-year-old Manitowoc man is being treated at the hospital after the dump truck he was driving rolled on Hwy 29 Tuesday.

The Shawano County Sheriff's Department says they got a call of a reckless driver just before 2:00 p.m. The vehicle was described as a dump truck. Just before deputies pulled over the dump truck it rolled near Witt-Morr Townline Rd. Deputies say the entire westbound lanes of Hwy 29 were blocked.

Deputies say the road remains closed for inspection.

The crash is under investigation.


Part of Highway 29 in Shawano County - near Wittenberg - is shutdown after a semi rolled. The Wisconsin DOT says the westbound lanes are blocked near Hwy 29 and Witt-Morr. Crews are expecting the closures to last until 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Please avoid the area if possible.
