The Wisconsin Department of Transportation says Sunrise Drive in Rothschild will remain closed until August 1 as crews raise the overpass and repair the overpass' bridge deck. The DOT says no detour will be posted. They say access to businesses and residences will be maintained.
The closure is necessary during the reconstruction WIS 29 and Business 51.
Crews will replace the pavement on eastbound and westbound WIS 29 and replace the bridge decks of the structures located over the Wisconsin River and Business 51.
The project is expected to cost $18 million dollars. Construction began in April and is expected to be completed by May 2017.
