Funeral services for Rothschild Fire Chief Steve Fritz will be held Friday, December 14 and Saturday, December 15.
Chief Fritz died unexpectedly Monday of natural causes, most likely a heart attack, according to the Marathon County Medical Examiner.
Public visitation will be held at the Patriot Center located at 1010 Market St. in Rothschild, from 4 pm to 8 pm on Friday. Visitation will continue Saturday 9 am until 11 am. The funeral service will begin at 11 am. There will be a procession of emergency vehicles to Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Kronenwetter after the funeral service.
Fritz was the department's Chief since February 2007.
Memorials can be given to The Humane Society or the Rothschild Fire Department .
