Ryan Braun has issued a statement explaining how his name got in papers of a Miami area clinic under investigation for selling PEDs to MLB players.

The statement as reported by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is...

"During the course of preparing for my successful appeal last year, my attorneys, who were previously familiar with Tony Bosch, used him as a consultant. More specifically, he answered questions about T/E ratio and possibilities of tampering with samples. There was a dispute over compensation for Bosch's work, which is why my lawyer and I are listed under 'moneys owed' and not on any other list. I have nothing to hide and have never had any other relationship with Bosch. I will fully cooperate with any inquiry into this matter."

Yahoo! Sports is reporting Milwaukee Brewer left fielder Ryan Braun's name is in the records of a Miami, Florida area clinic accused of distributing performance enhancing drugs to several pro baseball players.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports Major League Baseball will investigate the link to Braun, who tested positive for synthetic testosterone after his 2011 National League MVP season. He appealed the result and had it overturned by an arbitrator.

The arbitrator who made the decision was later fired by MLB.

Yahoo! Sports says three of the Biogenesis clinic records it obtained showed Braun's name on the list of clinics.

MLB is investigating the clinic and its former operator, Anthony Bosch, to determine the scope of alleged PED sales to baseball players.

According to the report, at least two other documents given to the New Times by a former Biogenesis employee mention Braun. In one, his name is on a line, with "RB 20-30K" on the next.

Bosch listed the amount of money owed by other players in similar notation, though the numbers were usually lower.

Braun's attorney Chris Lyons, who helped him fight the suspension last off season, is also mentioned in the company's documents. Along with a strength and conditioning coach at the University of Miami where Braun played college ball.
