State Representative Dan Meyer has announced he will not be seeking re-election to the State Assembly. The Eagle River Republican has represented the 34th Assembly District since 2000.

Meyer said his 12 years of service have been “very rewarding and humbling, but that it’s time to move on, I never wanted to be a career politician,” Meyer added, “12 years seems like a good term limit to impose on myself.”

Meyer and his family live in Eagle River. Although he does not know for sure what the future holds, they plan on remaining in Eagle River for the foreseeable future.
