Rental Company Keeps Boaters Safe on the Water

The Memorial Day weekend marks the start of the summer tourist season across The Northwoods. That means that people from all over the Midwest will be taking their boats out on the water throughout Northcentral Wisconsin.

While many are seasoned boaters, others have far less experience. If you don’t have the proper amount of practice as a boater, it can lead to problems. That is why Wave Rentals in Minocqua always makes sure everyone that wants to rent a boat gets a rundown of safety procedures before they get to go out on the water.

“We go over full operating instructions and we go over all the rules and laws. The lake is patrolled and we go over everything so that by the time we are done they are ready to go and I don’t have to worry about them.” Says Wave Rentals owner Callie Weisman.

Driving a boat while under the influence of alcohol or drugs can lead to big problems. That is why Weisman and her colleagues are very careful never to rent to anyone who appears intoxicated.
