The public is invited to participate in the Remember 9/11 Freedom Walk to honor those who lost their lives in the attacks on September 11, 2001 and to pay tribute to our heroes who continue to serve to defend and protect our great nation.

The opening ceremony will kick off 5:00 p.m. In Wisconsin Rapids followed by a one mile walk down the walking trail along the beautiful Wisconsin River adjacent to the park. It will end at the Wisconsin State Firefighter's Memorial in Wisconsin Rapids.

The event will feature an open house at the Wisconsin State Firefighter's Memorial from 3:00-5:00 p.m., which includes a 9/11 exhibit.

A suggested donation of $5 per person or $20 per family will benefit the Wisconsin State Firefighter's Memorial and their efforts to continually maintain and improve the park.
