Rapids Business Man to Run for Mayor

A Wisconsin Rapids business man will throw his hat into the ring this spring for the city’s mayoral election. Current Mayor Mary Jo Carson has announced her plans to retire after holding the position for six years.

According to the Wisconsin Rapids Tribune, Zach Vruwink filed papers Wednesday. Vruwink graduated from the University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point with degrees in political science, public administration and policy analysis.

He owns ZAXX Technology Specialists. A business he started at age 15.
