A 36-year-old Wausau man arrested during a May 2013 undercover drug bust will spend eight years prison, followed by three years extended supervision.
In February, Juan Quintero pleaded no contest to delivering heroin, possessing heroin, possessing cocaine and possessing a firearm. In exchange for the plea, 12 other charges were dismissed, but were considered during Wednesday's sentencing.
Quintero was arrested in the parking lot of a Rib Mountain retail store. Another suspect, Bonnie Michelotti, 50, was arrested when leaving a store parking lot after completing a heroin sale.
A search warrant was conducted on Quintero’s house on the 900 block of N. 6th Avenue in Wausau. Thousands of dollars in street sales drugs which included heroin, crack cocaine and hashish were seized at the residence along with a firearm.
Michelotti reached a plea deal with prosecutors in December, avoiding a jury trial. She was sentenced to one year and five months in prison followed by five years on extended supervision.
