Purebred Dog Demo Comes To Wausau Center Mall

The Wausau Center Mall is going to the dogs. Mans best friend turned the shopping walkways into a stage Saturday as the Paper Cities Kennel Club held a purebred dog demo to get locals barking up the right tree.

Owners and experts where there to show what dogs are capable of and bring a little canine education, such as how not to get bitten.

"We teach them the way you approach a dog, that they don't just go glom onto the dog or give them a hug, but that they approach them and let them sniff them first and offer them your hand," Todd Orthmann, President of the Paper Cities Kennel Club said.

Dog owners also educated people about the different breeds and what future owners can expect from dogs big and small. They are making sure you get the perfect pup for your family.
