Protesters at Obama Event Chant for Walker Recall

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker didn't join President Barack Obama at a Milwaukee event, but about 100 Walker protesters still showed up chanting for the Republican governor's recall.

The protesters Wednesday also held signs calling on the president to create more jobs and end the war in Afghanistan.

Obama is visiting the Master Lock Co. factory, praising the company for bringing back about 100 jobs from overseas.

The protesters stood across the street behind yellow tape. One man called out that 100 local jobs is a good start, but he said the area still needs 99,990 more.

Others chanted, "Recall Walker," and one woman called him a coward for reversing his decision to join Obama at the factory. Walker cited an illness, but did greet him at the airport.

I still haven't heard if Walker had a sick slip. Anyone know? To all you Union bashers and teacher bashers did he have a sick slip? No comment?

No one from the Walker camp has came out and said if he had a sick slip or not. I guess he doesn't count. They uses it on others but will not discuss it concerning Walker. Typical Walker backers!

I wonder when you so called "Silent Majority" will realize you sound like a broken record? To many more of us now make up the new silent majority. Your right to the name is gone! We are not all union and not all teachers, but we do enjoy you Walker backers being backed into a corner. We know you are because all the mumble that comes out is union this, union that, Doyle this and Doyle that, teachers this and teachers that. You have no real comments on Walker and his unbalanced budget. No comment on him hiring a person who is a friend and adding over $23,000 to the existing salary. We see others in this state take cuts and he gives wage increases to friends. Your arguement is starting to stink like old and rotten apples. Time to dream up something new. Watch the paper or TV we see Walker talking out of two sides of his mouth. The one side should provide you with some new ideas. We love the otherside of his speech!

B - That is quite the educated response. Don't forget to pay your union dues this week. Hope you can still afford to actually pay a deductible towards your next medical bill, and do not have to work beyond 55 to start collecting on your pension. Maybe you can get Doyle to run again, that way he can be sure to finish destroying the Wisconsin economy to ensure the benefit plans for WEAC and the rest of the state union employees. The only time a liberal loves a democracy is when they are in the majority.

Do you realize that if Walker's brain was as large as his ego this chance of recall would never came about! Then there would be no protest groups in this state.

It's the silent ones that smell the worse, nothing to be proud of. Walker has been in a constant state of hiding not doing his job.

The silent majority will speak loudly in the next election. Walker should not have stood with Obama. Anyone else remember Obama's comments about Walker last February? Thank you, Governor Walker, for keeping your promises and saving us from tax increases in the middle of a recession just to maintain the cadillac benefit plans for union employees. The good of the many outweighs the WANTS of a few.

Do you suppose Walker was asked not to attend? Maybe some business people are coming to their senses. Who would want someone to attend an event and being a cause of problems. These problems follow Walker like the plague.

Looked to me like the governor greeted the president gracefully and then let him go about his politics.

What a difference one day makes. Your hero Walker has recuperated from the flu. He is speaking with lobbyist today. He can't speak with voters but others he can fit into his schedule. Some leadership Wisconsin has! Walker leads from the closet!
