The Executive Director of the Marathon County Humane Society, Mary Kirlin, says a pot-bellied pig found in storage shed has now been moved to cattle rescue center in Lincoln County.

Kirlin says "Wilboar", as the pig has been named, is now living at the WI Cattle Rescue in Gleason.

Kirlin says Wilboar's new place is much better setting for rehab.

A Pot-bellied pig is still without its owner after being discovered in a storage unit in Stettin on Sunday.

The Humane Society of Marathon County says they haven't received any calls from the owner and are currently caring for the pig.

Lisa Held, Shelter Operations Coordinator, says they were contacted by the Marathon County Sheriff's Department after a neighbor had heard the pig in the storage unit. Held made contact with the town chairman to see if they were aware of anyone missing a pig. They were then informed that pot-bellied pigs are not allowed in Stettin because it's a residential area.

The Humane Society says the pig was examined by a veterinarian after being brought in by the owner of the storage unit. It was malnourished but has since rebounded after being fed and given plenty of water.

They are looking into a Pot-bellied pig rescue agency so that the pig can be with experts that know how best to take care of it.

The Marathon County Sheriff's Department was not immediately available for comment when News Channel 7 contacted them.
