A portion of busy Weston street will be closed for about six hours Saturday as the fire department performs a training exercise.
Northcentral Technical College, along with local area fire departments will be burning down the house located at 5020 Ross Avenue. The purpose of this exercise is to provide continuous education and training for local firefighting professionals.
Due to the narrow driveway at the house, Ross Ave. from Mesker to Corazalla streets in Weston will be closed from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Weston officials ask that local residents make sure that their windows are closed during the exercise in the event the wind carries the smoke towards your property.
