High School students in Port Edwards will be celebrating “Pi Day” in a unique way Thursday afternoon.
March 14 the celebration of the mathematical constant pi, the number that represents the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter.
Pre-Calculus and Calculus students at John Edwards High School have planned several activities for the entire student body to participate in during 7th, 8th, and 9th periods.
In each activity the students will be performing some sort of math calculation and then participating in a game. The activities include: "Pi" Twister, "Pi" Bag Toss, Dodge "Pi", "PIngo", "PItrial" Pursuit, Scatter "Pi", Chairy "PI", and "Pi"-Day Scavenger Hunt.
It's the 6th year the school has celebrated the day.
