UPDATED 5/1/13 3:10pm
Lincoln County sheriff's deputies say the disappearance of Anita Bucki is still not considered suspicious. That word comes from a brief press conference Wednesday afternoon after crews stepped up their search effort.
Bucki vanished from her Town of Corning home west of Merrill last Friday. Her husband said they went to bed in the early morning hours, but when he woke up the 48-year-old woman was gone.
Tuesday, investigators searched the Bucki property. Wednesday, they also searched two nearby bodies of water, one right behind the Town of Corning Fire Department.
Deputies say the search of the family home was to get a better idea of what Anita Bucki is like. They say the bodies of water searched are places where she liked the scenery.
The would not say if they found anything in the water.
Lincoln County sheriff's deputies are at the home of Anita Bucki, who's been missing since last Friday.
They've closed Wegner Rd. in the Town of Corning west of Merrill where Bucki was last seen.
Deputies are not confirming anything, saying only more information could be released Wednesday.
Our crew at the scene says they've seen numerous squad cars and officers working off in the distance.
Bucki was reported missing Friday by her husband. He says they went to bed in the early morning hours, but he awoke and she was gone.
Again, we hope to learn more about this possible development in the case Wednesday.
