TWO RIVERS, Wis. (AP) -- A road rage chase has turned deadly in eastern Wisconsin.
Police say a 19-year-old Two Rivers man went to a Manitowoc factory with three other males to settle a fight with a 22-year-old man around 10 p.m. Tuesday.
Two Rivers Lt. John Reimer says no fight occurred and the 19-year-old and the three other men jumped in a pickup truck with the 22-year-old in pursuit.
Reimer says the older man sideswiped their truck during the chase, causing the 19-year-old to lose control and crash into the guardrail. The teen was thrown from the vehicle and died at a local hospital. A 16-year-old passenger suffered a head injury. The others were not hurt.
Reimer says the 22-year-old man fled the crash scene and was arrested at his home in Manitowoc a short time later.
