The Oneida Police Department is investigating whether the water supply to a herd of buffalo was shut off accidentally or intentionally, leaving 25 buffalo dead.
According to WLUK-TV, it happened over the Labor Day weekend on a farm is owned by the Oneida Nation, which also takes care of the animals.
The 150 head, grass fed herd is a tourist attraction and also produces meat for sale.
