A 32-year-old Wausau man will return to court next month to possibly face more charges as prosecutors say he enticed young girls using the internet.

William Hebbe remains behind bars on $25,000 cash bond on a charge of using a computer to facilitate a child sex crime. According court records, Hebbe sent a 12-year-old girl inappropriate Facebook messages in September 2011. In May, he pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Now investigators are looking into several year's worth of Hebbe's online activity. According to the Wausau Daily Herald, detectives have read through 1,400 pages of online chats from 2004-2008. Investigators will now identify the individuals Hebbe contacted to determine if they were underage at the time.

A charge of using a computer to facilitate a child sex crime carries a maximum sentence of 40 years in prison.
