The Pointers (22-6) held an early 6-4 lead when Austin Ryf (Winneconne, WI/Winneconne) scored in the paint, but a layup from the Knights' Tom Snikkers followed by a 3-pointer from Jordan Brink put Calvin ahead 9-6 and the Knights maintained the lead for the rest of the game.
Calvin's first-half lead peaked at 20-12, but a jumper from DeVon Jackson (Milwaukee/Rufus King/Williston State) capped off an 8-1 run for UWSP to cut the deficit to 21-20.
The Knights (26-3) led 29-25 at halftime.
Joe Ritchay (Wisconsin Rapids, WI/Lincoln) led an early second-half charge when he hit a 3-pointer then scored in the paint on the Pointers' next possession to bring UWSP to within 33-32.
The Knights responded by going on a 7-0 run and claimed their first double-digit lead of the game when they went up 47-36 with 11:26 remaining in the second half.
Jackson scored eight points, including a pair of 3-pointers, in less than a 90-second span bringing the Pointers to within 47-42 with 9:46 left, but that's as close as UWSP would get for the rest of the game.
Ritchay led the Pointers with 18 points while Jackson and Alex Richard (Spring Green, WI/River Valley) both came off the bench to score 12 points apiece.
Jordan Brink led all scorers with 21 points for the Knights and Tom Snikkers added 14 points and 11 rebounds.
The Pointers conclude the 2012-13 season with the program's seventh consecutive 20-win season and their seventh consecutive NCAA Division III Tournament appearance.
