Point Business Owner Accused of Sexual Assault Back in Jail

A Stevens Point business owner accused of sexual assault is back behind bars.

A Portage County corrections officer tells NewsChannel 7 that 32-year old Steven Tibbetts is in jail on a bail jumping accusation.

The Stevens Point City Times reports he was arrested Tuesday (3/25/14) morning for breaking a court order to stay away from an alleged victim.

The times say he approached her at Wal-Mart.

He had been free on a $5000 signature bond.

Tibbetts, who owns the Energy Cafe in downtown Point, is accused of drugging and raping an 18-year-old woman.
