"Celebrate Plover" takes on its third year celebrating the community with a fun and free event Saturday, July 26th.
Dan Mahoney, Village of Plover Administrator, shared all about how the community is the driving force behind bringing a celebration back to Plover. He stressed how family friendly the event will be, with free crafts and activities for kids all day long.
A Corporate Center will feature 35 local businesses presenting their products and services. Food stands will feature all different types of cuisines and not a single stand will have the same food as the next.
There will be a Veteran's Tribute at the Korean War Memorial, and live entertainment into the late hours of the evening. Fireworks will go on rain or shine, as Plover has promise if they do not happen on Saturday, they will go on Sunday July 27th. All of the excitement will be taking place at Lake Pacawa Park in none other than Plover.
Some youth representatives from Americorp also shared their involvement in the event and urge the community to help in volunteer efforts to make the event and event clean up run smoothly.
