Business is booming in Plover and manufacturing development is leading the way. Right now three of four projects nearing completion in the village.
One being Spee-Dee Delivery Trucking Company right off of Business 51 in Plover. They're currently working on a $2 million addition. The company plans on expanding further in the coming years. In fact, they've already started the process of purchasing the open field next to their current plant.
Village Administrator Dan Mahoney says this growth is good news not just for local businesses but for the community as a whole.
"As we obviously develop more and have more growth, it means more tax revenue coming in to out community which helps us keep our tax rates at a very low and reasonable rate. So we're very excited about that. It also translates to additional jobs for the community and we're excited about that. And more jobs means more people coming to the area and more people moving to Plover and the surrounding communities and we look forward to that as well."
Three additional manufacturing businesses are also planning to expand. All seven projects should be underway by the end of this year.
