A 35-year-old Rib Mountain man arrested March 21 after a prostitution sting in Wausau has a reached a plea deal with prosecutors and could have the charge amended if he stays out of trouble for one year.
Keith Olejniczak plead guilty Wednesday to the charge of prostitution. Online court records say that could be amended to disorderly conduct.
Lt. Matthew Barnes of the Wausau Police Department told NewsChannel 7 officers posted fake ads on www.backpage.com. He says they started getting responses within 10-minutes.
Olejniczak was one of six people arrested during the sting. The other suspects in the case have also taken similar deals.
This is the second time since the start of 2014, Wausau police have used undercover officers to crack down on prostitution. Four people were arrested in a similar sting in January.
