A plea deal appears to be in the works for one of three men accused of robbing two people at a Plover home in Sept. 2013. Lyndell Dale, 19, is charged with armed robbery, two counts of battery, false imprisonment and intimidating a victim and theft.
According to court documents, the alleged victims said they were at their apartment with Dale, Archie Biddell IV, 21, and Maurice Holt, 30, when the men began to beat them and take items from their home. The alleged victims said they knew the men as they had gone to high school with Lyndell Dale.
Prosecutors say one of the alleged victims required 19 stitches to close a laceration on his head. According to the criminal complaint, Biddell threatened to kill them if they called police.
The alleged victims said the suspects demanded drugs and money and proceeded to take numerous items from their home including electronics and two guitars.
The incident occurred around 2 a.m. on Sept. 22. Investigators were able to trace a cellphone believed have been stolen by the suspects to the Rothschild area.
Biddell, Dale, and the suspected driver, Michael Hays, were arrested about seven hours after the incident after a chase with police.
Holt was arrested in October at his Wausau home after one of the stolen guitars showed up at a Wausau music store. Investigators say the guitar was brought in for resale by Holt.
Dale remains behind bars on a $50,000 cash bond. A plea hearing has been scheduled for August 12 in Portage County.
