Pittsville Falls in Baseball Semifinals

Mother nature was the early winner at the WIAA State Baseball Tournament on Wednesday, forcing a 5-hour rain delay.

At around 1:15 they finally got underway, with 7th-ranked Pittsville taking on number-1 Lake Country Lutheran in a Division 4 semifinal.

It wasn't meant to be for the Panthers. Lake Country Lutheran's offensive onslaught was too much to handle, ousting Pittsville in 6 innings, 13-2.

The Panthers close out their season at 21-5.
