St. Paul's United Church of Christ met at the 400 Block in Wausau on Wednesday evening and held a special service for animal lovers and their pets.
"I think it's important to the owners because they're apart of the family and it's not like they can come to church and get communion on Sunday," said Tania Grisham, Media Coordinator for the church. "It's just our way of saying that they're loved and God loves them too."
More than a dozen dogs and cats got a special blessing from the pastor. The church offers this service to anyone who wants to join every August.
