Pedestrian Hit by Car, Airlifted to Hospital

     A 50-year-old woman is being treated for injuries after a vehicle hit her in Minocqua on Monday.  She was taken to Howard Young Medical Center by ambulance and then airlifted to Marshfield.

Police are investigating after a vehicle hit a 50-year-old woman in Minocqua Monday afternoon. The Chief of Police, David Jaeger, says it happened on Highway 51, just north of the North Loop in Minocqua about 3 o'clock.

Officers say the pedestrian, Pennae Biersach of Forest, WI, was taken to Howard Young Medical Center by ambulance and then airlifted to St. Joesph's Hospital in Marshfield.

The incident is under investigation and police say they are not releasing specific details at this time.

Other agencies helping Minocqua Police are Wisconsin State Patrol and Minocqua Fire and Rescue.
