Seventh Congressional District Democratic candidate, Pat Kreitlow has a stop scheduled Thursday afternoon in Rhinelander. Kreitlow will face Republican Congressman Sean Duffy this November.
Kreitlow spoke with supporters in Wausau last weekend at his headquarters on Scott Street. Kreitlow talked about tackling the budget and creating a tax system that’s fair to the middle class, but said his main focus was creating jobs. "We need more of a focus on American job creation and making sure we are putting people to work now and doing the work necessary to create jobs in the future."
Congressman Sean Duffy's campaign manager released last week saying, “If Pat Kreitlow had his way, every middle-class family would pay more taxes and it would cost small businesses even more to create new jobs."
Kreitlow is scheduled to appear at the Democratic Party Regional Headquarters located at 29 W. Davenport in Rhinelander at 5 p.m. According to a news release, Congressman Dave Obey will officially kick-off the campaign and the event.
