Outhouse Races Come to the Lincoln County Fair for the First Time

More Video...

For the first time at the Lincoln County Fair, and really in Central Wisconsin, outhouse races are being held.

Dale Christiansen, President of the Lincoln County Fair Association, decided to bring outhouse racing to the fair after he attended a national fair convention that gave him the idea.

The Iowa State Fair has been doing outhouse racing for nearly 20 years, but in Lincoln County liked how unique the idea is. Teams of four will compete in an obstacle course on Saturday, August 2nd at the Lincoln County Fair in Merrill.

Jim Medley is competing in the weekend's outhouse racing events and brought his outhouse for us to see. He shared what went in to making it and why he decided to compete.
