State Patrol: OWI Suspect Swims Across River to Lose Officer

An Outagamie County man is facing his fourth offense OWI after an officer with the State Patrol says he attempted to stop the man for traffic violation, but the man fled the vehicle and swam across a river to elude law enforcement.

According to new release the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, on Sunday just after 6 p.m. officer attempted to pullover Craig Fish, 37, after someone reported a driving complaint near Bowler. Fish was stopped on Highway 29 near Highway 22. He was arrested a short time later.

Fish was scheduled to make his initial appearance on the charges Tuesday in Shawano County Court.
