The Oneida County Sheriff's Department says one person is in custody after a chase and standoff in Rhinelander Tuesday morning.

Deputies say contact was made with a suspect in a number of burglaries in the area in the parking lot of America's Best Value Inn just before 11 a.m.

Deputies say the suspect, identified as Robert Flick, 51, fled in a vehicle and led officers on a pursuit through Rhinelander, ultimately ending on Sugarbush Road where the vehicle became stuck in the snow.

Flick did threaten to harm himself, but was taken into custody without incident.

The release did not say what charges Flick is facing.
