One Woman Hurt after Train vs. Car Crash in Marshfield

One woman is in the hospital after Marshfield Police say the vehicle she was driving collided with a train.

A sergeant with the PD tells NewsChannel 7 it happened just before 6 p.m. Friday near the intersection of North Maple Ave. and East Veterans Park Way. Details about her injuries have not yet been released.

Earlier in the evening several intersections were closed as the train was blocking them. The sergeant says they have since opened up now that the train is gone; however, the intersection where the crash happened is still closed. The sergeant says one of the train crossing arms was damaged in the crash, so for safety reasons it will be closed until further notice.
