The 51-year-old Stevens Point man who drowned in the Wisconsin River has been identified as Frederick Filtz.
The Stevens Point Police Department says Filtz was swimming at Bukolt Park around 5 p.m. on September 14, when he became tired and went under the water. He did not resurfaced and his body was pulled from the river shortly after.
