The victim of a May 26 domestic disturbance has died.

An obituary for Christopher Bonnstetter says he passed away June 3 at St. Joseph's hospital.

Police say he suffered blunt force trauma injuries following an assault last week at a home the 2800 block of Cedar Drive in Plover.

Police identified Bonnstetter's stepson, Andrew Pray, 32 as the suspect. They say Bonnstetter was in critical condition after he was allegedly beat with a baseball bat.

Pray remains in custody on $250,000 cash bond. Portage County Assistant District Attorney Cass Cousins tells NewsChannel 7 he will ask Pray's bond be increased. Criminal charges are expected to be filed Friday.

Pray is expected to return to court on June 9.
