One Hurt in Car-Snow Plow Accident

Wood County sheriff's deputies are investigating an accident that involved a Town of Grand Rapids snow plow and car Friday afternoon.

One woman was hurt in the wreck.

A press release from the Grand Rapids Police Department says the wreck happened just after 1:30pm on County Highway Z at 48th Street South.

The car's driver was taken by helicopter to St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

The plow driver was not hurt.

A Grand Rapids officer tells NewsChannel 7 the investigation is being done by the sheriff's department because the accident involves a town vehicle.

A sheriff's deputy tells NewsChannel 7 they're still trying to determine how it happened.

He also says the victim is a woman whose condition is unknown.

We hope to learn more sometime later this weekend.
