Marathon County sheriff's deputies say the person killed in an accident north of Wausau Tuesday is 20-year-old Cody Schuster of Wausau.
The two vehicle wreck happened at about 4:15pm Tuesday (12/3/13) on Highway K near Hidden Creek Way in the Town of Maine north of Wausau.
One vehicle crossed the center line and crashed into another. Schuster was killed in the wreck. The driver of the other vehicle was injured and taken to Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Lt. Fred Goch says he's unsure which vehicle crossed the center line. He says he believes slippery roads caused by a winter storm that came through the area Tuesday afternoon were a factor in the crash.
Although it remains under investigation. Deputies are also awaiting a final toxicology and autopsy report.

Lt. Fred Goch tells NewsChannel 7 the deadly accident involved two vehicles with one person in each. One apparently crossed the center line and ran into the other, but the crash is still under investigation.
One person died in the accident and a second was taken Aspirus Wausau Hospital. His condition is unknown at this time.
Goch says both victims are males, but other than that, no other information about their identities is being released at this time.
Goch says the accident was one of dozens that were reported in Marathon County starting after 3pm Tuesday.
