UPDATE: Name Released in Fatal Oneida County Crash

The man killed in a one car crash in Oneida County has been identified. James R. Hagen died at the scene as a result of the accident on Monday, May 27.

The investigation has determined that the vehicle was southbound on Cth G negotiating a curve, when the vehicle left the roadway onto the shoulder and the vehicle then rolled multiple times.


A 55-year-old Rhinelander man is dead following a one vehicle crash Monday night in the town of Pelican.

According to a press release from the Oneida County Sheriff's Department, the accident happened at 6:35 p.m. on Cth G.

The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office, Oneida County EMS, Pelican Fire Department and the Pelican First Responders responded to the scene.

The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of relatives.

The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office and Oneida County Medical Examiner are continuing their investigation into this crash.
