MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- President Barack Obama appears to be maintaining a significant advantage with young voters in Wisconsin, despite efforts by Republican Mitt Romney to chip away at that edge.

In 2008, Obama carried the below-30 age group with 64 percent. A Marquette University Law School poll released Wednesday shows him with the same lead this year on that group.

University of Wisconsin-Madison student Emily Wiersema says she is sticking with Obama this year after having voted for him the first time in 2008.

But 24-year-old Cody Comerford of Green Bay says he voted for Obama when he was in college but has soured on the president since joining the workforce.

Both presidential campaigns have focused on attracting the youth vote in Wisconsin, including campaign appearances on campuses.
