Eagle River Police Department is warning customer of Nicolet National Bank of a scam circulating the area.

Police say potential victims receive a phone call stating their debit cards have been suspended due to the bank's recent name change; formerly Mid-Wisconsin Bank.

The caller then asks the individual to confirm their debit card number and expiration in order to re-activate the account.

Anyone who has received these phone calls and did give out information is advised to contact their bank immediately and take any necessary precautions to safeguard their accounts.

You are also encouraged to contact the Eagle River Police Department at (715) 479-4343 if you gave information.
