It is now legal to pass a vehicle in a no-passing zone if traveling less than half of the applicable speed limit – provided that extreme caution is taken when doing so. Caution includes being aware of the road conditions and the type of slow-moving vehicle that one intends to pass. Make sure you have enough time and distance to pass safely especially on hilly and curvy roads.

Slow Moving Vehicles signs are bright orange triangles with red trim. These signs are required to be on any vehicle – tractors and other equipment like wagons, planters and other implements that travel less than 25 miles per hour. These slow moving vehicles can also have an amber strobe/blinking light instead of the sign.
