Nekoosa Native Reunited with Working Military Dog

Nekoosa native Sgt. Sam Wettstein was reunited with his military war dog, Belle, Friday in San Diego, California.

Belle served with Sgt. Wettstein in Afghanistan. Belle is a yellow Labrador who specialized in explosive detection during her service in combat missions abroad with the Marine Corps. Sgt. Wettstein is currently stationed in San Diego.

Belle is retiring from military service and Sgt. Wettstein is adopting her to ensure she has a loving home.

Friday's reunion took place at the San Diego International Airport.
