An error at a Kaukauna polling location allowed an estimated 120 people to vote in the wrong election.

According to WLUK-TV, residents from Wards 1-2 did not vote for either District 13 candidates Leroy Van Asten or Jason Fischer as they should have, and instead cast ballots for District 10 candidates Kevin Behnke and Josh Karl.

While voters for Wards 1-3 vote at the same location, Wards 1 & 2 are in county supervisor District 13, while Ward 3 is in county District 10. Kaukauna Clerk/Treasurer Susan Duda told WLUK that initially, all voters were given ballots for District 10.

Outagamie County Clerk Lori O’Bright said the error was the city’s.

According to WLUK, the error cannot be corrected. Voters will not be allowed to re-vote, and ballots will not be pulled from the District 10 total.
