NC7 Men's Pinbuster

2014 marks the 35th edition of the NewsChannel 7 Men's Pinbuster.

A total purse of $15,000 and lots of hardware up for grabs between Class A and B. A full field of 72 teams in Class A at Rose Bowl Lanes in Marshfield.

This year certainly one for the record books. The spotlight shining on Aniwa's Stephan Miller.

MARSHFIELD AND STEVENS POINT-- 11 balls, needing the 12th for perfection, and the 6-pin cooperates for his first career 300 game and 17th in Pinbuster history.

He wasn't done there, that 300 carries him to an 815 series, the 2nd highest series in Pinbuster history. Miller clearly the high game and series of the tournament.

Lets hand out some team awards. Memory Lanes #1 from Athens takes third with a 3328.

More history sees Paradise Limo of Wausau set a new team game record with a 1261 on their way to a 2nd place finish with a 3367.

And your 2014 Class A champions, taking home $3,000 is Buck-A-Neer Supper Club from Rozelville with a 3411 score.

Class B Pinbusters action down at Skipp's Bowling Center in Stevens Point.

47 teams, 235 bowlers from around the state looking to take home some Newschannel 7 gold hardware.

After 35 years, Pinbusters continues to bring in new faces each year, while at the same time keeping pinbuster loving vets like Roy Dyznik who played in his first Pinbuster since suffering through a number of injuries and surgeries last year.

While it may have been the men's tourney today, there were plenty of women out in support of their loved ones, including Jody Beranek who was in attendance to cheer on her son bill.

Little did she and her son know just how much they would enjoy it today.

Let's get down to business, Douglas Ford bowled the only 300 of the day at Skipp's and only the 18th in Pinbusters history.

He'd go on to win the high series with a final score of 744.

Now on to the team awards, in third place Haas Excavating with a total score of 2847.

This years Class B runner up, With a final score 2874, its Plainfield Trucking.

And finally, your 2014 Pinbusters Class B Champions, Jody Beranek's son Bill Beranek and Ford Chiropractic with a final score 2926.
