At least one moose seems to have been hanging around Langlade County for the last several months.
Drew Van Ooyen, 22 of Antigo, snapped a recent photo of a moose passing through a field near the intersection of Highway 64 and Highway 52 on Antigo's northeast side.

In May, a moose was also spotted on Highway F, just a few miles east of Antigo.
Moose are relatively rare in the state, but have been reported in several areas, including urban ones.
In 2003, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources estimated the state's moose population at between 20 and 40 animals.
